 It worked for recovering my files
I had a problem with an external USB drive, who lost the partition table: Linux was unable to read it when I connected the device. The program was able to get it right, examining the drive, and then it is now helping me recovering the lost files.
In the end, I was very happy with the program

It worked as advertised.
I had a raid-1 drive that mysteriously disappeared after a power failure. The partition table had been corrupted, not of the superblocks of the ext3 partition could be found.
I could see that the data was still on the drive by accessing the raw device, but had no way to access it.
No other recovery program I found was able to "find" the ext3 data structures. The demo of Stellar Phoenix was able to tell me that it could find, and thus restore my missing data.
